Ashley Aguy, MSW, LGSW
Board of Directors
Ashley is rooted & grounded in the spirit of the African word “Ubuntu” which is a reminder that “I am who I am in my humanity because of who you (or we) are within our collective humanity.”
This grounding principle is what lead Ashley to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Oakwood University, a Historically Black University in Huntsville, AL, and then her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota.
She currently serves as an Instructor and Field Coordinator for Child Welfare MSW students at the University of Minnesota’s School of Social Work. Prior to her current role, Ashley has had the opportunity to serve as a School Social Worker, Child Protection Social Worker, School-Based Mental Health Practitioner, and Foster Care Licensing Social Worker.
Outside of Ashley’s profession, she serves as a trainer, and speaker, and is the former Behavioral Health Co-Chair & Community Healing Liaison for the Minneapolis NAACP.
Ashley has the great privilege of journeying life with her husband Jeffrey Aguy and learning so much from their son Jeffrey Justice Maverick.
