Meredith Kramer
Board of Directors – Secretary
Meredith is a Recruiting Associate at Piper Jaffray & Co. After growing up in the SW suburbs of Minneapolis, Meredith graduated from St. Olaf College with a double-Major in Psychology and Family Studies. She is part of a two-person team at Piper handling all campus-level and experienced/lateral-level recruitment for the Equity Investment Banking and Capital Markets business line in five major cities across the United States: Minneapolis (HQ), New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston. She handles all campus recruiting efforts at 15+ target colleges/universities and 5+ target business schools from California to New York. She also manages the logistics for Piper Jaffray’s annual month-long training for the new full-time analyst and associate classes, as well as the annual week-long training for the new analyst intern and associate intern classes.
Meredith discovered Watercourse in Spring 2016 as she was searching for local non-profit Board opportunities. She is deeply passionate about Watercourse’s mission and values and draws great personal fulfillment from her role with the agency. She is inspired by the great work that the organization is collectively doing in our local communities and loves that she has the ability to get involved with something totally different from her day job! In her spare time, she is passionate about nutrition and holistic wellness. She loves to cook, try new local restaurants (Heyday is a personal favorite), and is an avid NPR listener. She is also a Senior High Religious Education Advisor at her church (First Universalist Church in Minneapolis), and is a regular Saturday morning volunteer in the Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Gyms at the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. She is a proud sustaining member of the Human Rights Campaign and the ASPCA, and is a quarterly intake/home visit volunteer for Secondhand Hounds, a local animal rescue organization. During the summer months, she enjoys water skiing at her parents’ lake home in northern MN, rollerblading on the Midtown Greenway, doing Vinyasa Yoga, and biking around the city lakes. She is also in a monthly book club with some of her oldest girlfriends from high school, something which has led her to become a huge Liane Moriarty fan. Meredith also loves exploring local vineyards and breweries with her husband, Paul, and their two senior dogs, Muriel and Cosmo, and taking nostalgic weekend trips back to their alma mater in Northfield.
