BIO- Sarah Lentz, MA LMFT

Sarah Lentz, MA LMFT

Sarah has over 12 years of experience serving youth and families in the Twin Cities. She worked in a variety of capacities, including a special education assistant and youth worker, before entering the mental health field as a school- and community-based therapist. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University-Twin Cities.

Sarah leans into her own rich life experiences to support and be curious about each child, individual, couple, or family she works alongside. She appreciates how our layered, intricate identities and family histories inform our mental health. She also has an interest in how popular culture shapes clients’ lives and often explores how themes of power, sexuality, and justice influence relationships and wellness.

Using relational, experiential, human-centered and play therapy approaches, she believes that compassion, accountability, and humor are three vital elements for healing. Sarah focuses on client strengths and aims to create a safe space for them to experience emotions, examine patterns in their relationships, and embrace the complexity within themselves and the world around them.
