Ashwak Hassan (she/her) is a Marriage & Family Therapist. She has over fifteen years of experience ranging in in-home settings, day treatment, and outpatient settings.

She uses a multicultural lens that celebrates everyone’s unique experiences and cultural backgrounds. Her goal in therapy is to provide a safe space that honors the individual's background and personal needs. Ashwak understands the importance of intersectionality and recognizes that every person has unique experiences, perspectives, and obstacles. Ashwak's therapeutic style is warm, holistic, empathic, direct, and insightful. Her foundation is rooted in a family system. Ashwak is multicultural and multilingual and can provide therapy in English, Somali, and German. Ashwak interests lie in working with neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, illness, divorce, parenting, and behavioral issues.
