David Hamilton

Interim Executive Director

David has over 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, including roles as Executive Director of Youth Farm, The Cedar Cultural Center, and Access Works. He has also served as Interim Executive Director for Child Care Aware of Minnesota, MN SNAP, and Children’s Performing Arts. Additionally, he was Operations Director for The Center for Global Education and Experience. Spanning fields such as harm reduction for drug users, international education, arts performance and education, urban farming, and youth leadership, David’s work consistently reflects a commitment to social justice, community-driven programming, and equity-focused initiatives.

David is well-versed in leading DEI initiatives and served on a university president-appointed DEI Council. There, he played a key role in developing a DEI certificate program addressing racial equity, LGBTQ+ issues, access, and disability inclusion. He has also led the creation of racial equity statements for multiple nonprofits. David is also a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).

David holds an MA in African History from the University of Minnesota and a Mini-MBA for Nonprofit Organizations from the University of St. Thomas.
