Tia Carter serves as the Director of Operations at Watercourse Counseling Center, where she leads organizational strategy, operational excellence, and cross‑functional team development in support of accessible, culturally responsive mental health care. With more than six years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit healthcare, she specializes in strengthening systems, improving workflow efficiency, and guiding teams through growth and change.
Tia has played a key role in advancing Watercourse’s digital transformation, enhancing regulatory compliance, and building performance‑driven structures that empower staff and improve client experience. Her leadership is grounded in equity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to community‑centered care.
Before joining Watercourse, Tia held operational and administrative leadership roles in youth services, education, and community health organizations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is pursuing her MBA in Healthcare Management with a focus on strategic leadership and organizational development.
Dedicated to service beyond her role, Tia also supports community engagement initiatives and provides volunteer notary services at local events. Her work reflects a passion for strengthening communities, supporting staff, and ensuring that high‑quality mental health care is accessible to all.
