Rachel Edelschick, MSW, LICSW
Clinic and School-Based Therapist
Rachel (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who offers in-person and telehealth therapy at Watercourse’s community clinic and onsite at Bancroft Elementary School in Minneapolis. She received her master’s degree in clinical social work from Columbia University in 2007 and has extensive experience working with adults, teens, and kids around issues such as anxiety and fears, grief, trauma and PTSD, life transitions, and mood regulation. As a queer-identified therapist, Rachel also loves working with clients in the LGBTQIA+ community navigating identity exploration, family and relationship challenges, and societal/cultural stressors.
Rachel believes deeply in the intimate connection between our bodies and our emotions, and she encourages her clients of all ages to cultivate this awareness during therapy. To help with emotional processing and regulation, Rachel often invites clients to try sensory techniques, somatic movement, and creative expressive therapies during session. She strives to make therapy a nonjudgmental and affirming place for clients to explore their stories, take supported risks, and embrace their capacity for change.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys dancing, reading, making art, and spending time by the lake with her partner and kids.
